Riya- Why do Winston and Julia risk going to O'Brien's house together?

Winston Smith and Julia decided to risk going O’Brien’s house because O’Brien invited him to his apartment. This was very significant because inviting someone, couldn’t have been done. This caused him to believe that O’Brien had rebellious intentions to the government, just like them. To add to this, Smith initially believed that O’Brien was similar to himself in a way.
